- Permanent teaching role, 3-year Coordinator role (1 point paid allowance, 2 point release time)
- Co-lead the RE department with a focus on outreach and social justice

This is a tremendous opportunity for an educator of Religious Education to become an integral member of our vibrant and faith filled learning community. In this unique role, you will assist in the leadership of the RE Department as well as lead our social justice initiatives, create connections with the wider community and have the ability to influence our students to do the same.

You will be an experienced and accomplished educator who is ready for a leadership role and has the necessary passion for social justice and outreach.

**About the role**
- Assist the Religious Education Coordinator with the planning of teaching and learning across all stages in secondary Religious Education.
- Engage our students in faith filled activities within the school and support our student in activities and programs such as our Catechist program.
- Collaborate to bring to life the Edmund Rice touchstones and promote a spirituality of justice and peace.
- Co-develop innovative ways of engaging our students in social justice activities, especially by providing opportunities to practise and reflect on faith in action.
- Facilitate special projects and events that help promote and deepen awareness of and engagement with outreach and ministry initiatives.

***About you**
- Strong knowledge of Religious Education pedagogy and knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum
- A deep, genuine faith, willingness to service and a passion to evangelise and promote a welcoming, vibrant faith community
- Ability to share responsibility for the vision, mission and strategic priorities of a school
- Contribute to driving a school culture which imbeds the ethos and values of its charism
- An understanding of contemporary learning theory and practice
- A demonstrated ability in building professional relationships and working in collaboration with colleagues
- An understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice
