**About the opportunity**:
An exciting opportunity to join the Diabetes Services team, located at Nepean Hospital, as a Clerical Coordinator on a permanent part time basis.

The Clerical Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination and administration of the Nepean Hospital Diabetes Service including the planning, direction, management and control, and operation of all administrative services

The role will also:

- Ensure patient billing is maintained following policies and procedures to meet patient generated revenue potential
- Ensure all outpatient clinic activities are recorded accurately and completely to meet Activity Based Funding requirements
- Provide a high level of professional support to the NUM of the Diabetes Service and administrative staff

An eligibility list may be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.

**Selection criteria to be addressed**:

- Relevant and extensive experience in a multidisciplinary health environment and ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a busy team environment.
- Demonstrated delivery of high level administrative support to senior managers and executives
- Demonstrated exceptional office management and organizational skills with ability to manage a high workload, prioritise tasks whiles under sustained pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Highly effective communication skills in both written and oral with an ability, evidenced by participation in department-level meetings and small catch-up performance discussions
- Demonstrated ability to understand, analyse and generate reports to ensure performance monitoring of the Diabetes Service Outpatients’ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by the Management of Outpatient Services Framework (GL2019_011).
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and triage issues both independently and collaboratively while exemplifying the CORE values and fostering a workplace culture that is safe and conducive to improvements
