**On Line Recruitment are currently looking an experienced Maintenance Officer**

Our Client is an Australian owned business, building homes for Australian families for the past 40 years. As a Maintenance Officer, you will complete general maintenance and repair to new homes under construction and completed homes including general carpentry, painting, brickwork repair, guttering and roofing, wall and floor tiling, grouting, plasterboard, general installation of fixtures, window and door adjustments and general touch ups. Completing the safe handover of homes to families with a focus on customer service excellence is paramount as you may be required to schedule repairs with owners.

**As Maintenance Officer, you will be required to;**
- Liaise with stakeholders such as suppliers, subcontractors, local and statutory authorities and home owners when required.
- Ensure construction integrity and safety management on all sites under your control.
- Oversee, manage and co-ordinate the construction workflow of your maintenance projects from start to completion.
- Ensure quality management systems are adhered to and completed to deliver our product to the required standard.
- Respond to emergency calls when required.
- Prioritise work to complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Plan, schedule and review projects under your control to ensure targets are achieved effectively.
- Complete daily work record forms and job assignment sheets and complete other related paperwork as directed.
- Keep job assignment record in Database updated at least weekly on progress.
- Keep track of receipts for items purchased for each job
- Maintain Safety standards on sites under your control to ensure the business complies with WH&S regulatory and governance requirements.

**What we are looking for in a Maintenance Officer,**

To be successful in this role, there are a few things we are looking for:

- Foster a teamwork culture to continually develop performance, skills and cooperation across the business.
- Ensure open communication channels are developed to maintain good working relations internally, and with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Capacity to work independently with mínimal direction and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Capacity to maintain a high degree of discretion and exercise sound judgment in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters, with people at all levels.
- Exceptional communication (oral and written), relationship building and people management skills.
- Excellent client service skills and ability to identify analyse and solve complex problems, while managing and prioritizing a challenging workload.
- Maintain relevant WH&S certification to support overseeing build operations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant industry related regulations.
- Knowledge of the residential and/or commercial building/construction process and Australian Building Standards.
- Ability to look at the root cause of problems and develop effective solutions to difficult problems.
- Priority setting and Time management.
- Establishes and maintains effective relations with customers and gains their trust and respect.

**Salary**: $80,021.71 - $110,863.02 per year
