**ABOUT THE ROLE AND CLIENT**
Our client is a Queensland Local Government agency based in Brisbane’s Southside. They are currently seeking an experienced
**Strategic Sourcing Contract Specialist** to join the Administration Branch who will be responsible for delivering complex sourcing projects and contract management activities for defined Branches within Council. Working with the Business Engagement Lead for nominated branches, the Strategic Sourcing and Contracts Specialist will be responsible for a nominated group of sourcing and contract activities with a focus on delivering strategic outcomes and increased value for Council.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure Council’s needs are met by contract
- Provide procurement expertise, consultative services, and probity advice to nominated branch stakeholders
- End-to-end management of tenders, develop concise sourcing documentation, maintain clear and factual records that can contribute to legally enforceable compliance outcomes
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Development of contracting arrangements and contracts to support commercial strategy and the needs of Council
- Support the Business Engagement Lead to develop and deliver strategic contracting plans
- Manage nominated contracts in conjunction with technical/business
- Undertake any other duties that are reasonably within the scope of skills, competence, and training

**ROLE REQUIREMENTS**
- Previous experience delivering end-to-end civil construction tenders
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering complex strategic sourcing strategies, negotiations and tender evaluations
- Tertiary qualification in commerce, procurement, supply chain, law or engineering or related area and/or Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply and Project Management qualifications highly regarded
- Substantial experience in procurement and contracting within a large complex organisation in a similar role required
- Valid “C” class license required
- Detailed knowledge of customer service strategies, financial responsibility, risk analysis and reporting, within a legislative, and regulated procurement environment
- High level interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) required
