**General Service Manager - Derrimut, VIC**
- $140,000 - $150,000 + Commission (OTE Potential of $200,000+)
- Derrimut, VIC - Full-time role.

Our client is one of Australia’s largest Heavy Vehicle dealerships working with reputable manufacturers.

**About the role**
We are on the hunt for a highly driven individual with a strong ability to lead and engage service teams, to drive exceptional customer service and a high level of performance.

**Duties**
- Lead, manage, and develop the managers of each service team to exceed customer expectations and ensure employee retention
- Work within the annual budgets, manage profit & loss and achieve new business, revenue, and gross margin targets
- Maintain key customer relationships and develop market contacts, provide input and support to business development activities
- Responsibility for customer issues ensuring that all matters are dealt with promptly and providing feedback to customers and employees after resolution
- Set a high safety standard, and manage the safety performance of the teams.
- Provide regular employee usage reports and forecast employee requirements to enable forward planning of resources
- Identify opportunities to increase the level of service support to existing customers and new business leads
- Ensure relations with the manufacturer are maintained to the highest standards and ensure adherence to all manufacturer requirements
- Coordinate ongoing training, development, and product knowledge for all service employees through effective communication with all service department managers

**Skills and experience**
- Sound mechanical knowledge with an automotive mechanical trade certificate
- Senior leadership experience ideally in an automotive environment operating a profitable service division/department
- Heavy vehicle experience is highly desired
- Honest, enthusiastic personality, ambition and dedication to ensure success in their own career and for the company
- Excellent motivational skills and the ability to encourage and implement a progressive culture.
- Ensuring Quality Assurance and WH&S compliance.
- Strong understanding of financial outcomes and ability to meet critical deadlines.
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Previous experience managing skilled technical teams in the workshop.
- Sound experience in Microsoft Office, Dealer Management Systems and report writing skills
