**About the role**

Due to an internal movement, Rabobank has an opening for an Assurance and Compliance Analyst based in Sydney. This role is structured within the First Line Monitoring (FLM) and Assurance Team. The Assurance and Compliance Analyst is responsible for providing assurance across the first line end-to-end processes and outputs.

**Top Role Accountabilities**:

- Driving a strong risk culture and risk and compliance management practices within First Line
- Establishing and enhancing the FLM & Assurance Framework focusing on overall improvements in quality assurance and timeliness of processing of requests
- Building strong collaborative relationships with all business units
- Undertaking a holistic review of all work requests and complete quality assurance to ensure that work request is completed accurately first time according to customer request, in line with procedures materials and meets all compliance and legal requirements
- Establishing and monitoring quality assurance measures across relevant Business Units
- Reporting on quality assurance results and findings, highlighting key issues identified with individuals or trends noticed over multiple persons and monitoring performance
- Identifying process improvement opportunities and deficiencies based on both, individuals quality assurance outcomes and identified systematic issues, that could be the result of a process and/or control weakness or gaps
- Supporting the relevant team to address and resolve any identified issues and gaps, coordinating necessary training to assist departments manage their risks and developing performance remediation measures
- Providing process, risk and compliance advice or escalating to Line 2 where required
- Sharing technical knowledge with team by becoming specialist for team on key processes

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- A background in AML is strongly preferred with industry accreditation such as ACAMS or ICA an advantage
- Proven experience in the financial services industry within a financial crime role
- Thorough understanding of methodologies of quality assurance practices
- Detailed knowledge of relevant legislation - AML/CTF
- Thorough understanding of Operational processes and functions
