**Product Manager, Payments as a Service (PaaS)**:

**Business Banking (BB) manages relationships with Commonwealth Bank’s small-medium enterprise customers, mid-market corporate customers, and regional and agribusiness customers, providing a wide range of financial services and solutions. It also services our personal and institutional online trading customers.

The Real Time Payments & PaaS Crew is positioned within the Payments Domain in Business Banking. Our purpose is to develop market leading, innovative, safe and resilient payments and value-add propositions for our customers. PaaS is the API based service designed to provide access to payments and aligned capabilities to business and institutional customers of CBA.

**Do Work That Matters**

The Product Manager is responsible for the e2e development, distribution and management of products and services within the business unit. The Product Manager is responsible for designing products and maintaining ownership of the end-to-end product systems and processes and is accountable for monitoring product performance, setting or reviewing the product strategy, delivering continuous improvement and risk buy-down initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory obligations.

**_More specifically, you will be: _**
- Responsible for supporting, designing, and implementing an exceptional E2E customer lifecycle experience for PaaS from pre-sales engagement, sales, on-boarding, live service support and off-boarding with a particular focus on the developer/technical resources of the API consumer / business customer. The plan should align with the target commercial growth of the PaaS business and the Technical Operations structure.
- Collaborating closely with other squads to implement the design, managing stakeholders and reporting to leadership.
- Responsible for monitoring the financial performance and customer outcomes related to their products, by reviewing sales, closures, profits and costs on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for monitoring the design of products by reviewing complaints, sales outside the target market and risk controls on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for monitoring the competitive performance of their products by reviewing competitor offerings on a monthly basis.
- Proposing product design changes, seeking the appropriate approvals, and delivering those changes to market, including planning and leading the promotional efforts for new or enhanced products.
- Monitoring business results of recently introduced or enhanced products and recommending modifications in product features, pricing, and marketing approaches to improve results.
- Developing and designing the features of a designated new product or enhancement to address an identified market need or opportunity.
- Delivering long term strategic projects to ensure their products continue to meet genuine customer needs.
- Manage change to continuously improve processes to facilitate the overall customer experience.
- Engaging with all areas across the business as both an SME and approval point for all changes that impact their products.
- Responsible for proactively managing risks associated to the product.

- **Essential - Clear understanding of the technical aspects of the E2E customer lifecycle for an API channel-based business.**:

- Proven experience designing/implementing an exceptional technical customer experience for a **Payments API based business **is ideal. Technical sales / account owner experience and/or API consumer (as a customer) experience considered.
- Experienced Product Manager with 3+ years of relevant experience in payments, financial services, product management and/or process improvement.
- **Essential - Proven success in developing and executing a defined product strategic roadmap.**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Successful change agent with a strong bias to challenging the status quo and guiding your product team through changes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management capabilities. Success in the role requires the ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities - have the motivation and be comfortable with investigating and providing recommended options/solutions to complex problems and technical nuances. Payment products, policy and systems knowledge, knowledge of the broader payments industry is ideal.
