Opportunity for an APS5 Corporate Business Officer

**Your new company**

This Federal Government Hub provides strategic advice to senior executives and corporate and enabling services to all staff, including their overseas network. They are a dynamic area who are responsible for corporate strategic and enabling services for the Group. They support the Group in further deepening engagement within the Pacific region.

**Your new role**

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented officer wanting to make an effective contribution to shaping the delivery of services and use of resources in the area and gain experience working in one of the Department’s largest groups whose work is central to the Government’s priorities in the Pacific.

You will work on a variety of tasks which provide advice and support to the executive and staff, including:

- Managing enquiries and requests for advice or support received to the HUB Group Mailbox, responding or directing to the relevant work area as needed. This will include responding directly to questions on EDRMS, ICT, PDMS, PeopleSoft, travel processes, WHS and SAP
- Coordinating corporate tasking within the Group to ensure that high quality responses are returned within deadlines
- Supporting effective communication and engagement through management of internal and external communications products and coordination of the Executive Assistant-HUB bi-monthly and other meetings
- Assisting with business continuity planning and implementation, and WHS including liaison with the DFAT Emergency Network and coordination of Group engagement in wellbeing campaigns
- Assisting with accommodation and security issues, including maintenance of the secure cabinet register and signing processes
- Contributing to the smooth functioning of the Hub by supporting the work of the Finance, HR and Small Posts Units or providing other administrative tasks as required. This could include liaison with central corporate areas, preparing routine finance or HR reporting, preparing and approving SAP acquittals, procurement and payment of invoices.

- understands, or is willing to learn, business and corporate requirements and how this relates to delivery of support services in the Hub. A working knowledge of MS Suite is an advantage.
