Cookes Food & Events is dedicated to providing our clients with authentic, creative and hospitable catering and event services. We are seeking a talented and passionate **Catering & Events Manager (Full Time) **to join our team and assist us in the planning and execution of memorable events that leave a lasting impact.
As a **Full-time Catering & Events Manager **at Cookes Food & Events, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our event strategy. You will be responsible for selling, managing, and delivering a wide range of events from corporate functions, weddings or private celebrations, that embody the values of authenticity, creativity and hospitality.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Event Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define event goals, objectives, and target audiences. Develop and execute event plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Vendor Management: Source and manage vendors, venues, and suppliers.
- Logistics Oversight: Oversee all logistics, including catering, staffing and technical requirements as required.
- On-site Event Management: Lead on-site event management, including set-up, coordination, and troubleshooting. Manage event staff and volunteers, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
- Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations and analyse feedback to continually improve future events.
Full-Time Position:
This is a full-time position with a standard 38-hour workweek.
**Salary**: Minimum salary for this position is $75,000 per year plus Superannuation. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in event management.
- Relevant tertiary qualification is preferable, but not mandatory
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Creative problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in event management software and tools.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Other Specifics/Requirements for the Role:
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to transportation.
- Ability to travel as needed for events.
- A passion for creating exceptional event experiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
