**Early Parenting Centre’s Team Leader (ANUM/AMUM)**
We are seeking Registered Nurse and/or Midwife and/or Maternal and Child Health Nurse (or currently working towards or interested in pursuing an MCHN qualification) to join our Early Parenting Centre (EPC) Team’s as Team Leader (ANUM/AMUM).
We are seeking Team Leader's (ANUM/AMUM) for both of our Early Parenting Centres. Mercy Health's Early Parenting Centres (EPC's) are:
- O’Connell Family Centre (OFC) located in Canterbury and
- Whittlesea Early Parenting Centre (WEPC) located in South Morang and opening in November 2023
Early Parenting Centres (EPC’s) strive to support happy, healthy, safe and thriving babies and toddlers by promoting the parent-child relationship, and equipping parents with strategies to achieve their parenting goals. These goals are often in areas such as sleep and settling, child behaviour, and parent and child health and wellbeing. EPCs recognise that the health and wellbeing of the primary caregiver, and whole family is vital to children’s development and outcomes. EPC’s provide specialist support for Victorian families with children aged 0-4 years.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
The Team Leader (ANUM/AMUM) role is to:
- Compliment and support the strategic direction and management within the EPC
- Promote excellence in clinical practice and family centred care (in the residential and day stay programs)
- Provide assessment of clients for admission to EPC programs (in the Assessment and Intake role)
- Provide leadership and support to the EPC Clinical Team
- Provide clinical service to admitted families
- To support the Nurse Unit Manager by acting up in the position to fill planned and unplanned leave
- Classification depending on qualification and experience of ANUM Year 1, ANUM Year 2, AMUM Year 1, ANUM Year 2 or Mat &Child Nurse ZJ5
- Permanent Part-Time, Full-Time hours and casual hours are available
- EPC’s are open Monday to Friday and are closed on Weekends
- Shifts are Day 0700-1530, Evening 1400-2230 and Night Duty 2200-0730
- Team Leaders working Evening and Night Duty Shifts are also After-Hours Coordinators and are paid at classification ZC5
- Free On-Site Car Parking
- EPC’s are open 50 weeks a year with a 2 week closure over Christmas/New Year
- _Initially this position will be located in Canterbury at O’Connell Family Centre to complete a compressive supported orientation.
**ABOUT YOU**:
- Registered with AHPRA as Nurse and or Midwife
- Post Graduate qualification midwifery - desirable
- Post Graduate qualification in Child, Family and Community Nursing (Maternal and Child Health) or equivalent - desirable
- Post graduate qualification in adult or infant mental health - desirable
EPC’s are very happy to support Team Leaders who are currently studying to become Maternal and Child Health Nurses or are interested in undertaking this study in the future.
