**The Opportunity**:
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic (Mechanical Fitter) - Lifting & Rigging Technician to join the Nobles team. We have secured several large projects across Australia and are looking for individuals who are seeking a new challenge.

**What you will be required to do**:
In this role you will work across a number of areas of our operations to provide assistance and develop your skills in our unique industry. Working 38 hours per week Monday to Friday generally.

**Your responsibilities in this role include**:

- Understanding drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings
- Inhouse and mobile facilities
- Design, manufacture and maintain bespoke lifting and measuring devices
- Certified inspections
- Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment
- Checking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments
- Installation & maintenance of ropes, sheaves and rope attachments for critical services
- Setting guides, stops and other controls on machining tools, setting up prescribed cutting and shaping tools and dies in machines and presses, and setting controls for têxtile machines
- forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal
- Height safety inspections (including harnesses, lanyards, etc.) and installations
- Cutting, threading, bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and line
- Preparing pattern mechanisms to control the operation of têxtile machines used to spin, weave, knit, sew and tuft fabric
- Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
- Assessment of lifting gear and cranes for repair and maintenance
- Lifting gear test, tag and repair
- Proof loading testing and reporting

**What you will bring to Nobles**:

- Relevant trade qualification as a fitter
- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV or at least three years of relevant full time experience
- At least 2 years full time post qualification experience in a mechanical fitting or engineering role
- Highly motivated and energetic
- Able to take direction well
- Natural mechanical aptitude
- EWP (Can be provided)
- Working at heights (Can be provided)
