**What you'll be responsible for**:

- End to end contract management activities and overseeing the development and management of complex contracts.
- Ensuring contract governance processes and systems are implemented and adhered to.
- Leading continuous improvement, innovation programs and contract performance reviews across critical contracts.
- Lead commercial negotiations and contract variations, providing advice on commercial changes and their financial impact.
- Understanding and interpretation of the contract obligations to ensure risks are managed, opportunities explored and services delivered to client expectations.
- Resolving contract related issues both internally and externally and taking the lead in solving commercial issues that may arise.

**What you'll need to be successful**:

- 5+ years in a similar role with relevant experience in either contract management, construction management, law, finance, commercial or business management.
- Experience of having worked collaboratively in a team environment across commercial, operational and customer facing teams.
- Effective liaison and interface between contract operations team and client representatives.
- Professional contract management qualifications desirable.
- Experience in local government contracting is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in leading continuous improvement, innovation programs and contract performance reviews.
- Demonstrated success in people leadership and nurturing a positive workplace culture.
