**The Opportunity**:
We are in search of an accomplished and dynamic individual to step into the role of Legal Practice Manager in the Sydney office of a top-tier law firm. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the operational efficiency of one of the largest practice groups in the firm.
As a Legal Practice Manager, you will spearhead the recruitment and management of support staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and consistent services to legal teams and clients. Your focus will extend to fostering the capabilities of the support team, resource management, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Efficiently manage resources, redistributing work and support to ensure administrative capability is maximized and readily available to support the practice group and partners.
- With support from the national recruitment team, recruit support staff throughout the practice group.
- Optimize the contributions of support staff, continuously improving engagement through transparent expectations, regular feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee and uphold the quality and consistency of services provided to the practice group, identifying and advancing opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with commercial finance managers and practice managers to communicate consistent messaging regarding the operational metrics of the group.
- Consult with partners, the Operations Manager, and Facilities to guarantee the practice group has the necessary space allocation and optimizes its use of space.
- Actively engage, participate, and share knowledge with other Practice Managers across the office and nationally.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and initiative in the workplace, contributing actively to meetings, firm initiatives, projects, learning, and development sessions.
- Ensure compliance with WHS obligations and responsibilities in line with the role's requirements.
**Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:
- Proven experience in leading sizable teams in a legal or professional services firm.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with the ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen.
- Sound operational management skills.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to effectively communicate insights and influence key stakeholders within the business.
