**Position Overview**:

Operating 24/7, our Assets and Operations business unit plays a crucial role in designing, building, and operating water assets to meet the needs of our customers while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. We take pride in our assets to ensure we are safeguarding public health and the environment.

The WRP O&M Team Leader will oversee the daily operations and maintenance activities of Coliban Water’s Lagoon Water Reclamation Plants (WRPs). Initially, this newly created role will be tasked with building it’s team of operators and work closely with the Operations Transition Manager to develop standard operating and maintenance procedures. The role will be integral in ensuring the efficient and effective function of our plants to provide high quality reclaimed water.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Provide leadership and supervision to a team of operators and maintenance personnel, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including monitoring process parameters, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance to meet production targets and quality standards
Coordinate maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance, to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations, licences, and safety standards.
Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in plant operations and maintenance.
Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure efficient operation of the plants while optimizing costs.
Maintain accurate records of plant operations, maintenance activities, and compliance documentation. Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.
The ability to be on standby one week in every four to respond to out of hours issues

**Skills & Experience**:
We are seeking someone with proven experience in water reclamation plant operations and maintenance, with at least five years in a supervisory or leadership role. You will have strong knowledge of treatment processes, equipment and instrumentation and be familiar with regulatory requirements related to water reclamation and the environment.
