THE ROLE

The Role

As Faculty Executive Director, you will work in collaboration with the Executive Dean and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Medicine and Health) to enable the continuation of the health enterprise’s growth and ambitious strategies in medical and health profession education, human sciences, health and medical research, and innovative clinical care

Working as a key member of the Faculty Executive Team, you will lead the development and implementation of the Faculty’s operating and service delivery strategies and plans, aligned to the Faculty strategic goals and facilitate effective monitoring and evaluation of performance. You will provide expert advice to the Executive Dean and other key stakeholders on the financial operation of the Faculty, resource planning and management, risk management, infrastructure and facilities, policy development and higher education market trends.

The Faculty

The Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences (FMHHS) is ambitiously pushing the boundaries of progressive thinking and challenging what’s possible to solve some of the big issues of our time, both nationally and on a global scale.

The Faculty’s current education suite includes courses in clinical science, physiotherapy, chiropractic, medicine and public health, psychology, cognitive sciences, linguistics, audiology, and speech pathology. The Faculty forms part of MQ Health, an integrated academic health sciences enterprise which incorporates Macquarie University Hospital and primary and speciality clinics. We have active research programs in neurosciences, health systems and patient safety research, cancer medicine, and clinical sciences, amongst others.

Experience in senior leadership within a Health/Medical Faculty and or medical research institute or similar is desirable.
