**The importance of this role**

The Seniors and Supported Living Chaplain is a key member of the team providing holistic care and support to residents, family members and staff within a Residential Aged Care Facility. You will be responsible for the provision of pastoral care, and for nurturing a Jesus centred spirituality that includes the provision of religious services and programs. As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, they contribute pastoral and spiritual insights toward the overall care of a resident, and work with staff to develop a healthy community where residents feel a sense of welcome and home. The chaplain also works with volunteers to flourish further care within the service.

This role will see you working out of Buckingham Gardens Aged Care Facility in Alexandra Hills, 2 days per week.

Remuneration for this role is $41.52 per hour

**What you can bring to the team**

You are active in your Christian faith and a "pastoral" type person having demonstrated competence in offering holistic pastoral care within a professional, interdisciplinary team environment. As a team person with a teachable spirit you are able to communicate effectively with others in a variety of contexts.

You are comfortable working alongside people from different faiths, cultures, lifestyle choices, educational and career backgrounds. You are a person who assimilates seamlessly with your team members and can collaborate to achieve shared goals.

Your qualifications and experience for this role should also include:

- Able to be endorsed as a Ministering Person with Churches of Christ;
- Certificate IV in Pastoral Care, Chaplaincy, Christian Ministry or relevant equivalent qualification;
- Current Driver's license;
- Three years’ experience in providing pastoral care/chaplaincy services at an advanced level in a health or community environment;
- Ability to obtain a National Police Check.
