About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Telstra’s Customer Event Centre in Sydney. As an Event Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless management and production of events, delivering unparalleled experiences to our Enterprise customers.

You will work with key stakeholders across the business to support world class customer experiences. Partnering closely with the wider Customer Insights Centre team, Sales, Solutions, Technology Innovation and Strategy and Marketing you will act as an enabler for creating highly relevant and insightful approaches that will inform, inspire, excite, and delight customers. Your approach will inspire customer advocacy, unlock new opportunities, and accelerate outcomes including sales and innovation partnerships.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Executing the Customer Insight Centre team strategy and value proposition.
- Event Management and Production: Take charge of end-to-end management and flawless execution of all key activities and events held at our Sydney Customer Event Centre. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and coordination of events to ensure they align with our strategic objectives and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Booking and Schedule Management: Efficiently manage and maintain booking requests, keeping an organized schedule of events and customer meetings to optimize our event calendar.
- Supporting the delivery of large-scale virtual events and broadcasts
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between various internal teams, including Sales, Solutions, Communications and Marketing, to collaborate and align event strategies that drive customer advocacy, innovation partnerships, and business outcomes.
- Identifying and resolve HS&E and operational issues during delivery and execution.
- Seeking and reporting stakeholder feedback, actively make efforts to address any live issues, seeking to identify continuous improvement opportunities wherever possible.
- Working closely with commercial partners (e.g. contracted food and beverage partner) to ensure effective supply of services, high levels of service provision and compliance with contract conditions.
- Assisting with reporting on visitor statistics, services and activities contributing to the development of weekly, monthly and quarterly centre reviews.

What we look for:

- Demonstrable experience in supporting events of varying scope, and size up to 500 people
- At least 3+ years’ event experience in either Event Production, Event Delivery or Event Management
- Tertiary qualifications in Events, Marketing and/or Communications is highly desirable
- Experience in virtual events or technical event production preferred
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with senior executive personnel
- Personality that drives and embraces exceptional standards
- Demonstrated ability to plan individual and functional workload activities
- Ability to identify and implement innovative solutions to day to day operational issues
- A willingness to learn and be coached on presentation capabilities and demonstrations as required
- Ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision
- Excellent self-management skills
- Excellent team player and the ability to work effectively within a small team environment
- Experience with a technology-oriented environment highly desirable
