Structural Steel Trade Assistant

An exciting opportunity has become available at Renrow Steel Canberra, we are currently looking for highly motivated and skillful Trade Assistants to join our onsite team for an immediate start in the structural steel industry.

This role attracts a very competitive hourly rate and offers a 5 day working week onsite, with overtime available. If you have a proven ability to deliver, you enjoy a supportive fast-paced team, and you care about the product you're installing, we’d like to meet you.

**About the Role**:
This is an opportunity to join our onsite team in Canberra. Our team specialise in installing structural steel, metalwork, and metal façade products efficiently and accurately. Ideally, you would already have a couple of years of on-site experience installing structural steel and metalwork.

**Day to Day Responsibilities**:

- Assisting Trades
- Reading and understanding of drawings/blueprints
- Completion of jobs in a quick, efficient and accurate manner with a high attention to detail, consistently meeting deadlines
- Perform general tool and equipment maintenance.
- Meet quality standards, checking for defects at all stages of production.

**Requirements: (Highly Regarded)**
- EWP
- Working at Heights
- Dogging and Rigging tickets
- Forklift

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Current Drivers licence
- Asbestos Card
- White Card
- Silica Card
- Rights to work in Australia.
- Previous experience working with steel or similar.

Pay: $31.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 45 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
