**About the Assignment**

Reporting to the Tax Manager, this role will have primary responsibility for delivery of advice and support for the group’s reporting obligations for corporate tax purposes in Australia and overseas.

You will be expected to provide advice to the business in relation to PRRT and corporate tax matters, including the provision of training and support for other functions in the business as required. You will also be expected to liaise with revenue authorities and other external stakeholders, including providing support for the management of tax audits and assurance reviews.

Tasks include:

- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual corporate tax filings (e.g. income tax returns, withholding tax, PRRT) for Australian and foreign operations
- Review/prepare monthly and annual tax filings for foreign operations in conjunction with in-country external tax advisers
- Assist with financial statement reporting, including preparation and review of tax estimate calculations for reporting periods
- Coordinate payment of tax liabilities
- Assist contracting and procurement with the negotiation of contracts for goods and services
- Assist with the design, implementation and integration of new tax systems and processes
- Identify and assist with tax function improvement/teaming initiatives
- Provide advice on a range of tax matters with an emphasis on emerging and expansion projects
- Provide support to broader tax group, as and when required

This assignment is initially offered for 12 months, engaged via Chandler Macleod.

**About You**
- CPA or CA, and/or Masters of Tax
- Experience in a top or mid-tier accounting practice in taxation or in a similar commercial role for a large organisation
- Strong computer skills (ideally some SAP or ERP systems exposure), specifically for the accurate extraction, analysis and presentation of data
- Demonstrated tax consulting and advice experience
- Experience with PRRT and resource taxes desirable
- Demonstrated tax consulting and advice experience
- An interest in tax technology and automation

**Mandatory Tickets / Quals / Certs**
- Bachelor Degree in a law/business/accounting related discipline
- CPA or CA, and/or Masters of Tax
