**The Service**

Located on Caldwell Street, **KU Merewether Preschool **offers children the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of learning experiences and activities, each specifically designed to promote children’s confidence as capable, active participants in their own learning.

Children are presented with a range of experiences including visual arts, gardening, music, physical play, building and constructions, sand and water play, science experiments, early numeracy activities such as counting and measurement, and early literacy activities such as drawing and reading.

**The Role**

We are looking for a Child Care Educator with a **Certificate III **qualification who values partnering with children and families, is a team player, takes initiative and wants to join a passionate, capable and dedicated team.

This **permanent, part time **crib break cover position will see you working **4.17 hours per day every Monday-Wednesday. Work hours are negotiable between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. **You will also have access to additional casual hours if desired.

We want you to be as passionate about early childhood education and as committed to achieving positive outcomes as we are.

**To be considered, you must have**:

- Current Employee Working with Children Check.
- Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
- Current Child Protection Training
- Recognised Certificate III in Children’s Services or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
- Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
- Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
- Current knowledge of Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills
