A great opportunity for Payroll Officer to join market leading provider of specialized equipment to Construction, Infrastructure and Rail Industries. Our client is currently experiencing growth and require the right person to join the Finance Team as a Payroll Officer.

This role reports to Finance team leader and some of the responsibilities include the following:

- Administer the weekly payroll in SAGE for all states weekly
- Collect data for payroll from all departments
- Ensure confidentiality in payroll processing
- Ensure superannuation payments are made on time
- Data entry; new starters, terminations, payroll deductions, time-sheets, leave requests etc
- Ensure payroll is processed in a timely manner
- Reconciliation and general maintenance of payroll systems
- Interpretation of EBA and Award employment conditions
- Employee pay queries, audit(s), filing, archiving employee pay/personnel details
- Establish & maintain profiles such as User and Group profiles
- Payroll tax calculations, reconciliations and lodgements for all states
- Process employee reimbursements
- Maintain Payroll entries into the finance system and reconciliations
- Prepare reports on daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Prepare payroll reports monthly
- Process improvement
- Relief AP/AR duties when required
- Ad-hoc projects and tasks as directed
- Experience in a similar position with good analytical skills
- Experience working with SAGE Micropay system
- High attention to detail
- Team player

- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Excellent time management skills
