The successful applicant will be a trade qualified individual with a passion for the Electrical Industry. You will will be supported and mentored while you transition into your role as a teacher at TAFE Queensland. You will contribute to developing and delivering quality learning, teaching and assessment to a wide range of clients through:
Outcome focussed vocational education and training (VET) programs;
- Linking with industry, schools, universities, community, other TAFE and VET providers;
- Maintaining currency with industry practices, workplace delivery and contemporary teaching methodologies and philosophies; and
- Working in an environment of ongoing change and continuous improvement.

This position is based at TAFE Queensland's Ashmore Campus and there is Permanent & Temporary Full-Time opportunities available. Temporary contracts are currently to 13 August 2024 & 30 June 2025, with possibility for extension or permanency.
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements

**Possession of the following**:

- Certificate III in Electrotechnology (UEE30820) - QLD Electrical Fitter Mechanics licence or equivalent, and
- Ability to demonstrate a broad range of current industry skills and experience.

Possession of one of the following Training and Assessment credentials:

- TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or its successor
- TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools;
- TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;
- TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or its successor;
- TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development;
- TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor;
- Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).

**Note**: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
Highly Desirable Requirements
- Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Licence
- Certificate II / Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology

Salary
The salary range for a TAFE Teacher is $85,142.43 - $96,376.48 per annum, depending on educational qualifications and experience.
