**About the role**
- Responsible to the Head of Unit
- Will be required to collaborate closely with the Units Clinical Nurse Consultants, other medical specialists in the Units and other senior health professionals of the Units.
- Will be required to supervise the clinical practice of allocated trainee medical officers and fellows in the Units.
- Will be required to participate in various committees and meeting activities
- Interest in the expansion of endoscopic spine surgery
- Clinical capacity to provide longitudinal paediatric spinal follow up as patient mature from WCHN to CALHN health services
- Promote diversity with the spinal unit
- Completion of Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) training is desirable

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
- Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist Registration as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award
- Demonstrated participation in continuing medical education since attaining qualification.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working with Children Check
- Aged Care Screening check
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
