  • Permanent part-time working 22.5 hours per week

About the role

  • Responsible to the Head of Unit
  • Will be required to collaborate closely with the Units Clinical Nurse Consultants, other medical specialists in the Units and other senior health professionals of the Units.
  • Will be required to supervise the clinical practice of allocated trainee medical officers and fellows in the Units.
  • Will be required to participate in various committees and meeting activities
  • Interest in the expansion of endoscopic spine surgery
  • Clinical capacity to provide longitudinal paediatric spinal follow up as patient mature from WCHN to CALHN health services
  • Promote diversity with the spinal unit
  • Completion of Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) training is desirable

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
  • Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist Registration as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award
  • Demonstrated participation in continuing medical education since attaining qualification.

Essential Requirements:

  • Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
  • Working with Children Check
  • Aged Care Screening check
  • Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description.
