- Deliver flood studies, floodplain studies, flood mapping and flood risk management advice suitable for use by government and external organisations for land use, building control and emergency management policy and planning purposes.**Hours per fortnight**:
73.5 hours

**Duties**:
Deliver flood studies, floodplain studies, flood mapping and flood risk management advice suitable for use by government and external organisations for land use, building control and emergency management policy and planning purposes.

**Essential Requirements**:

- A Degree in Hydrology, Engineering, or Physical Sciences relevant to the professional duties to be undertaken, as provided by a university.

**Pre-Employment Checks**
- Arson and fire setting;
- Sexual offences;
- Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud);
- Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception);
- Making false declarations;
- Violent crimes and crimes against the person;
- Malicious damage and destruction to property
- Trafficking of narcotic substance;
- False alarm raising.

**Desirable Requirements**:

- Proven experience in successfully delivering flood mapping products to inform strategic or regulatory decision making.
- Experience in successfully undertaking complex flood modelling.
