**Position Information**:
**Primary Purpose of the Role**
A School Administrative Officer provides administrative, financial and student welfare/wellbeing support and assistance in relation to office and classroom activities, including but not limited to the following school settings: the office, sick bay, library, science laboratory and food technology
***General Duties **- **A School Administrative Officer is required to:
- Undertake a wide range of administrative duties to facilitate student learning, school routines.
- Provide administrative support to executive staff and school committees, including arranging appointments, meetings, and venues; taking and distributing minutes; as well as drafting confidential and general correspondence.
- Respond to and assist with enquiries from students, parents, staff and the community. (Communication skills)
- Maintain student records (ERN/Sentral/School Bytes)
- Maintain records and enter financial data into computer systems and prepare financial records and reports for review and authorisation. (SAP/School Bytes)
- Undertake the provision of first aid and administration of medications for students as required.
- Provide care and support for sick or distressed students.
**Essential Requirements**
- Working with Children Check Clearance
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake First Aid training.
- Administration of Medications - training to be provided based on student needs.
**Selection Criteria**:
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
- Administration skills including a knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with teachers and students.
- Ability to perform tasks in one or more of the following areas: office procedures; accounting procedures; sick bay; hospitality and /or design and technology; science.

Rose Bay Secondary College is a partially selective co-educational college blending a comprehensive local enrolment with two selective classes in each scholastic year from Year 7 to Year 10. The current enrolment is 1282 students, 43% of whom have a language other than English spoken at home and eleven of whom identify as being from an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island background. Students' learning is enriched by an exceptionally active creative and performing arts program. Curriculum options include music, dance, drama, film and TV video production, broadcasting and visual arts. The thriving co-curricular program offers many more opportunities for extension in this area. Sport and physical activity are an integral part of the Rose Bay Secondary College experience. The college is equipped with advanced computer technology supporting our ICT learning programs including software development, robotics, film animation and special effects editing, and music composition and editing. Schoolwide wireless technology enables teachers to design creative learning opportunities for students and gives students the ability to access resources and connect with learning opportunities beyond their classrooms.
