The Salvation Army Youth Services offer an integrated suite of programs engaging with young people across Australia. Our services create intentional avenues for young people to explore opportunities, build support networks, and access, participate and contribute to their communities. Youth services provide a diverse range of programs which include housing and homelessness, driver training, education, employment and training, AOD support, social and community activities, specialist therapeutic responses and youth justice programs.

We are currently seeking a values-driven and dedicated QLD Youth Services State Manager to lead the delivery of all Youth Services across QLD, specifically:

- Operational management of all programs within the state, including management of all contracts for services across the state
- Building and maintaining relationships with state government departments and equivalent stakeholders
- Ensure programs deliver services in line with Youth Services Model of Care
- Ensuring programs are resourced with adequate funding, skilled and competent staff and are managed effectively.
- Being a leading presence in the sector within the state to promote and advocate the needs of people seeking services from the Salvation Army and best practice service delivery.

This is a permanent full-time position based in Spring Hill, QLD.

You will successfully
- Lead the review and consolidation of Youth Services within the state
- Lead and monitor the implementation of TSA approved models, frameworks procedures and practice within the state
- Build a state team of social service professionals to deliver holistic and consolidated services across the state
- Build partnerships with other agencies as required to ensure clients can access services to meet their needs
- Lead contract negotiations with state government for new or changes to existing funding arrangements
- Implement national governance and accountability management processes
- Ensuring programs are resourced with adequate funding, skilled and competent staff and are managed effectively.
- Prepare and manage budgets for service delivery
- Maintains strong relationships with other state managers and business partners to ensure working knowledge and collaboration with all social mission and community engagement streams within the state

You will have
- Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field and at least 10 years relevant experience, including management experience
- Degree qualification in business or equivalent business management experience
- Experience in active membership in community or government bodies within the sector
- A QLD Working with Children Check
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
