The Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD), in the Department of Education, regulates and quality assesses ECEC services. QARD drives the delivery of high-quality ECEC services and ensures the safety, health and wellbeing of Victorian children attending those ECEC services.

**Proposed Job Summary**:
An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled senior leader who will be responsible for the supervision of the Western Metropolitan Area (WMA) team in the Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD).
QARD is the Victorian Regulatory Authority for early childhood education and care services.
The successful applicant will have strong leadership skills, high level organisational skills and a demonstrated ability to manage organisational risk in a high volume, complex organisational environment. The successful applicant will have demonstrated specialist knowledge in the area of early childhood education and care and/ or social regulation.
The WMA forms part of a larger region that extends to the Barwon South West and Grampians Area and as part of the leadership team, the position will involve travel across the South Western Victoria Region and this will include overnight stays.
The Area Manager, WMA position will be based in the Footscray Office.

Successful applicants will be required to hold a valid Victorian drivers licence and Victorian Working with Children's Check and meet the department's vaccination requirements upon commencement.
