The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more.
**About the Role**
One of the key mandates from the Council Plan and the Organisational Strategy is for City of Port Phillip (CoPP) to improve customer experience and technology and be more innovative. The vision is to be recognised as “a leading local government organisation that is agile, future ready and trusted”, with the capability to deliver great services and meet changing expectations and needs.

The Information Communication Technology (ICT) Strategy function will ensure our technology environment is set up for success and future growth
**Duties**
- Leads the design and implementation of a long-term strategy for ICT with special focus on Cyber security, Solution design and Information management aligned to the overall council priorities
- Leads the development and implementation of systemwide ICT benchmarking, policy and governance frameworks and ensures a coordinated and robust approach to the governance, planning and direction for ICT and information management.

**Skills and Experience**
- Advanced skills in ICT strategy development, planning & implementation, critical thinking and problem solving.
- Developed knowledge of emerging industry and market trends as well as contemporary practices in the technology, digital, cyber security, information, and data domains.
- Strong skills and knowledge of Cyber Security, data and information management, maintenance and governance methodologies & best practices (e.g., DAMA-DMBoK, COBIT, Public Records Act 1973, Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014, Public Record Office Victoria Standards and Guidelines, General Data Protection Regulation).
