**The Opportunity**

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Lysaght business in our **Canberra** team as a **Leading Hand - Loading (Afternoon)**. Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this is your chance to secure a satisfying and enjoyable role within a great team. Showcase your energy and passion by leading a team of warehouse team members, as you actively coordinate the receiving, receipting and storing of materials. You’ll also jump in assisting with dispatch duties, the assembling and loading of orders, and when the need arises some equipment operation.

This is a Monday to Friday role working a 38-hour week. You will be part of our bonus scheme.

**What Will You Do?**

This role will offer variety and scope for an enthusiastic team player who enjoys the full spectrum of a busy workplace. You will be responsible for the following**:

- proactive safety management
- safely loading and unloading trucks
- advanced forklift and crane operations
- picking and packing of orders to meet set deadlines
- day to day shift planning and staff supervision
- ability to liaise with internal and external customers

- previous experience within a similar role

- advanced skills in forklift and crane operations
- intermediate computer skills
