MARS Recruitment are excited to be partnering with an Australian Insurance company, who are looking for a highly motivated, talented and driven individual to join their team in the role of Manager - Finance & Projects. This role offers the opportunity to join a high performing and growing business and gain exposure in a fast-paced environment.

Due to exponential growth the company is looking for experienced Finance Manager who has a track record of leading process change and ERP implementations. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and partnering with Senior Executives across the company you will implement new process for revenue and expense cycles, roll out new BI reporting tools, streamline reports, as well as working with the team to ensure month end and financial reports are completed accurately and on time. This is a hands-on role, requiring strong technical accounting skills with initial focus on IFRS 17 transition.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with month-end close and the preparation of monthly management reports ensuring accurate analysis and commentaries
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
- Take a proactive and hands-on approach in resolving finance matters which arise within the team and across the business
- Be the Lead Finance Member to review current processes, analyse future needs and take charge in implementing new processes
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- With the assistance of the wider project team assist in the rollout of IFRS 17 compliance
- Identify opportunities to improve existing process and implement new process as well as being a key influencer

**Requirements**:

- 10+ years of experience as a Finance Manager with track record of leading projects
- Preferably be CA/CPA/CFA qualified (or international equivalent)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Commerce required
- Experience within the Financial Services industry preferably within insurance
- Strong IFRS accounting knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence is essential
