**Mater’s **Procurement and Supply Chain Operations** has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven **Category Manager - ICT** to join the team on its transformational journey in a two year maximum term contract. This position is based in our purpose-built offices in Newstead, Brisbane with the ability to work from home occasionally.
Working as part of an established and experienced procurement team, you will be responsible for the delivery of ICT procurement activities and broader category strategy. The purpose of the Category Manager role is to ensure that Procurement and Supply Chain Operations delivers best value outcomes to key stakeholders for the Digital Technology and Information portfolio and that services remain aligned with overall Mater Mission, Values, Heritage, Strategy, Values and Vision. The Category Manager is accountable for developing and implementing an ICT Category Plan, in addition to operational and team management. The role will evolve a strong customer-focused culture within Procurement and Supply Chain Operations that builds collaborative relationships and influences a positive business partnering approach.
**Salary range: commensurate with experience plus super plus increase your take-home pay with access to generous salary packaging**

**About you**
As the successful applicant, you will possess the following:
- You will have a relevant procurement or business qualification or certification
- Extensive experience in procurement and category management, preferably with demonstrated ICT experience, in a large, complex and diverse organisation, including strong knowledge and practical experience in working with commercial and contract negotiations and contract and supplier management
- Extensive understanding experience in implementing contract and supplier management strategies and techniques, including the ability to successfully manage tender evaluation processes
- Proven capacity to develop, implement and promote procurement and category management initiatives, including the capability to plan, manage change, improve performance and project manage
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams, including excellent coaching and mentoring skills, as well as a passion for developing engaged teams and supporting individuals to achieve their full potential
