**About the role**
We are recruiting for a dynamic and commercially focused individual responsible for leading our Workplace Relations and Wellbeing team whilst the current incumbent is on maternity leave.
The Acting General Manager will oversee the provision of high-quality advice and services to members and clients in all aspects of human resources, employee relations, industrial relations, and mental health and wellbeing consulting. This role will also ensure members and clients receive timely and insightful updates concerning topical issues, and key policy and legislative developments whilst securing new business opportunities.

Further information on the Victorian Chambers Workplace Relations and Wellbeing team:_**
- Our Workplace Relations team comprises of two consulting arms; the first a workplace relations consulting team who provide high quality fee for service consulting services to members and clients in all aspects of workplace relations and employment legislation including modern award interpretation, wage and condition audits, workplace investigations, Fair Work Commission representation, enterprise agreement assistance, performance management and termination advice. The second consulting arm provides high quality mental health and wellbeing advice and services including evidence-based assessments and interventions to record, identify, monitor, and reduce psychological risks and improve workplace wellbeing. The team also has a dedicated WPR advice line, and our advisors provide members with telephone advice on a range of workplace relations matters including modern award classification and interpretation, leave and wage enquiries, performance management and other legislative matters._
**About you**
To be successful in this position you will be tertiary qualified in commerce, WPR/HR, business, law or a related discipline. You enjoy, and have demonstrated, leadership experience, including strong EI and the ability to drive and maintain individual and team performance. You will have previous experience in HR/IR and a passion to drive strong commercial outcomes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as is the ability to comprehend complex and specialised issues and communicate them in a user-friendly manner. Finally, you will have a strong business acumen, results oriented approach, be able to be both strategic and operational and a strong motivation to succeed.
