**ABOUT THE BRANCH**
COMCAR provides high quality secure and confidential car-with-driver and other ground transport services to the Governor-General and, Prime Minister (both current and former), parliamentarians, members of the Federal Judiciary and other high office holders.
COMCAR also provides ground transport and associated support services to visiting Guests of Government such as Royalty, Heads of State, Heads of Government, and other foreign dignitaries. COMCAR frequently delivers services during major international events, such as the ASEAN Special Summit, Group of Twenty meetings (G20), the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) and other Ministerial forums hosted in Australia. COMCAR has a national presence, with drivers located in each state and territory. COMCAR operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
**ABOUT THE** OPPORTUNITY**
As a member of the COMCAR team, you will be responsible for providing support to the Depot Manager in the delivery of COMCAR’s services in Queensland.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- supporting the Depot Manager with day-to-day operations of the depot while ensuring the delivery of high quality and timely car-with-driver services to clients.
- managing and supporting driving staff in an operational environment.
- providing administrative support for the depot and COMCAR more broadly including timesheet management, reviewing trips in the COMCAR Automated Resource System (CARS) and data analysis.
- managing the vehicle fleet in an efficient, effective, and environmentally sustainable manner.
- supporting the Depot Manager and the COMCAR’s Visits Team with delivery of Guest of Government visits while ensuring a high level of service delivery and observing strict security and confidentiality protocols.
- representing COMCAR and the Department of Finance in an official capacity ensuring you present yourself with credibility and ensuring that you tailor your communication to the audience.
- acting as the Depot Manager when required.
Note this role:
- involves intermittent after-hours commitments and applicants must be able to meet the flexible requirements of the position that may include occasional interstate travel or out of core hours work.
Applicable allowances, flex time and overtime are payable for additional duties outside of regular hours of work, in line with the Department of Finance Enterprise Agreement 2024-2027.
