**The Opportunity**:
**In this integral role you will be responsible for financial analysis and variance reporting for our Resource Recovery business unit. You will work with business managers and others in the Finance team to understand the operational and commercial drivers in their area and so understand the underlying reasons for any variances.**

**Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager - NSW Resource Recovery, you will also contribute to and assist with the preparation and review of weekly and monthly financial and management reports to provide strategic insight into the unit’s finances.**

**What you'll be responsible for**:

- **
Operational analysis, including analysis of data accuracy and the integrity of operational KPI reporting**
- ** Assistance in ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are accurate, complete and meet accounting standards**
- ** Maintain the integrity of Profit and Loss postings**
- ** Assist in the development of management & compliance reporting**
- ** Undertake management reporting and support budget process**
- ** Support administrative processes as directed by the Commercial Manager.**

**What you'll need to be successful**:

- **
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent and significant accounting experience**
- ** Membership of relevant accounting industry association or working towards gaining**
- ** Demonstrated experience within an accounting or financial analyst position with skills gained in a large and complex business (preferred)**
