Investment Analyst

**The Opportunity**:
In this critical finance position you will be key to the management of Veolia’s investment control process. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager, you will provide essential commercial and financial assistance on a range of strategic projects, as well as developing business cases for large greenfield and brownfield projects and tenders. You will also engage with stakeholders to help identify and execute M&A opportunities, acquisitions and divestments. You will also review projects after implementation and present financial update reports and analysis of lessons learned.

**What you'll be responsible for**:

- Assist with the facilitation of the Investment Committee process and meetings
- Financial modelling support for tenders and acquisitions
- Preparation of financial business cases, business partnering and commercial management of strategic opportunities
- Assist with commercial review and financial analysis of tenders and acquisitions to check they meet the financial hurdle requirements
- Build relationships and partner with the Business line financial teams

**What you'll need to be successful**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications with a postgraduate qualification of CA/CPA/CFA
- Three or more years financial / commercial experience in a similar role
- Corporate Finance / Investment banking role / Big 4
- High Financial acumen with ability to act as an effective business partner to financial and operational staff
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with finance and non-finance staff
