_**Role and Responsibilities **_

**Position Statement**

The Care Manager manages the Creative Respite and Community Services Aged Care program and is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of service delivery for the Program. The Care Manager has the skills, experience, and knowledge to provide leadership, supervision and advise to frontline staff and is accountable to the Operations Manager. The CM will have on-going and direct communication with client's and their families to ensure a quality level of service delivery.

**Key delegations**

The Care Manager has the programs “overview” role for all staff responsibilities, professional, managerial, and administrative functions. Responsibilities include:

- Providing leadership to all support work staff and the other members of the leadership team, and creating a work environment that supports the delivery of quality services.
- Ensuring that CRCS staff adhere to and operate in accordance with policies and procedures, and in compliance with its funding contracts, legislative requirements, any applicable professional regulations, and requirements.
- Providing monthly reports, data, and information to the Operations Manager to assist them in making sound, evidence-based decisions.
- Developing risk management plans for worksites and individuals for the endorsement of Managers, implementing the plans and ensuring that identified risks are monitored and managed.
- A high level of involvement and decision making in the process of recruitment and ensuring compliance with company policies in the recruitment of staff.
- Ensuring that arrangements are in place for the regular formal and informal supervision of all support staff.
- Ensuring that applicable Service Standards are met and that all services provided are of good quality.
- Contribute to the development of the organisations quality management processes and quality assurance in line with the strategic plan.

**Key Skills and Experience**
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role including supervision of staff.
- Demonstrated experience in service delivery in the Disability, Aged Care or Mental health field, relevant experience and transferrable skills will be considered.
- Highly developed and mature communication and interpersonal skills.
- Due to the nature and quantity of the information being handled in this role, the position requires applicants to demonstrate high attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Well-developed priority and time management skills to confidently manage competing priorities, and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member.
- Good IT skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and windows operating environment, data entry skills. This role requires the use of computers and technology to function effectively in the position, therefore the right person will have demonstrated skills to quickly and efficiently learn new management systems.

**Requirements**:

- Current First Aid/CPR certificate to commence.
- A current working with children check (Blue Card).
- Tertiary qualifications in community nursing, aged care and/or disability with a focus on community sector management.
- It is a condition of engagement that the incumbent continually meet the NDIS Worker Screening check requirements and Police Check.
- Willingness to use own vehicle for work purposes.
- Open driver’s license.
- Willingness to occasionally work weekends and be part of the on-call after hours team.
- Proof of right to work in Australia (Eg Australian birth certificate, residency certificate, working visa).

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- On call
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Springwood, QLD 4127: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Similar role: 2 years (required)
