**Who are we looking for?**

We are seeking a passionate individual to provide culturally safe, trauma responsive interventions to facilitate effective, sustainable change with families experiencing multiple and complex needs to increase child safety and wellbeing, and enhance family functioning. The successful applicant will hold a partial case load whilst also providing guidance and support for First Nations families to strengthen or connect with culture and to embed a culturally safe environment for children to thrive.

**What can you expect to be doing?**
- Ensure assessment and responsiveness to risks efficiently and ensure all required reporting is completed and followed up, including the development of risk assessment and management plans to mitigate all safety risks.
- Work in partnership with families focusing on strengths and abilities to assist in the safe and timely return home of children who have been in out-of-home care, or prevent children from entering the child protection system. This may include mornings, evenings or weekends occasionally.

**What do you need to bring?**
- A relevant (degree) level qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Early Childhood and/or related Social Sciences or extensive relevant experience.
- Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander decent and identify and be accepted within their community as being First Nations and/or Torres Strait Islander.
- Knowledge and understanding of the South Australian child protection legislation, including Aboriginal Child Placement Principles, system and sector.
