Seeking a motivated dietitian to join our team.

Key responsibilities:

- Attend the aged care organisations in a timely manner and provide best practice nutrition assessments and acts proactively to identify barriers to implementing recommendations.
- Conduct home visits
- Provide recommendations keeping in mind the aged care catering facilities, cost-effective strategies, food-first approach were possible, and realistic goals. Client-centred approach is essential.
- Communicate effectively with key staff members, Client and their family member/Guardian as appropriate.
- Adaptive to change and able to adjust workload and communicate changes to facilities as required.
- Must keep accurate records for clinical statistics, and timesheets and obtain purchase order numbers from facilities.
- Provide education/toolbox sessions to staff.
- Be able to perform weight analyses, meal waste/meal environment audits and reports.

Selection Criteria
- University qualifications recognised by Dietitians Australia and hold APD status
- Demonstrated experience in the aged care sector.
- Strong clinical knowledge and be able to work independently.
- Be innovative and resourceful.
- Work efficiently and have good time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and fostering good relationships with the Residential Aged Care Facilities.
- Excellent analytical skills, problem solving and negotiation.
- Exceptions verbal and written communication skills.
- Have your own car to travel and happy to travel to various locations in Victoria.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Foodservice /menu assessment skills are a bonus.
- Good computer skills (excel, word, powerpoint, canva) and quick learner of electronic records programs e.g. ecase, iCare etc.
- Genuine interest in aged care nutrition.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $42.00 - $55.00 per hour

- Melbourne VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
