As a Floor Coordinator, you will be responsible for the workflow coordination of the shift, ensuring the timely and efficient flow of operating lists and workforce management. This is a key role in supporting the strategic direction of the department to both internal and external customers.

Our modern facilities include 8 Operating Theatres, 52 Surgical beds, 16 bed Day Surgery Unit and 34 bed Rehabilitation Unit. **As the Operating Theatre Floor Coordinator your responsibilities will include**:

- Oversee safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards
- Support and liaise with the perioperative services manager, department heads and VMO’s
- Ensure all theatres are staffed appropriately and cost efficiently and within KPI targets
- Understanding of legislative requirements, ACORN and sterilization standards
- Knowledge of accreditation processes and Quality / Risk management
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Ensure the day to day operations of the department run smoothly

**Essential Criteria**:

- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Ability to participate in a rotating roster, including mornings and afternoon shifts.
- Registered Nurse with at least 4 years’ experience in perioperative settings
- Postgraduate certificate in perioperative nursing or equivalent (desirable)
- Great working knowledge of ACQSHC National standards
- Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range of diverse stakeholders including VMO’s and executive management
- Demonstrate a good knowledge base in labour management and workforce planning
- Understand the requirements of private health funding, and relevance within the perioperative setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer focused care
- High degree of computer literacy including MS office, KRONOS and outlook.
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
- Previous experience as theatre floor manager (or similar)
