The Gold Coast offers so much to explore during your down time. Surf or swim the waves across a range of famous beaches, enjoy endless restaurant options, shopping meccas, music festivals and major theme parks just to name a few.
Purpose
You will play a crucial role in assisting our hotel guests from their initial inquiry to their arrival. Think of yourself as the go-to expert for room availability, rates, and the wonderful experiences our hotel offers. You bring a touch of excitement by suggesting enticing upgrades; all while working seamlessly with our outstanding teams to ensure a smooth and enjoyable guest experience. This is a great opportunity to dive into Reservations, as well as complimenting your skills with existing Guest Service Agent duties.
Primary Responsibilities
- Liaise with owners through demonstration of exceptional people skills
- Be the first point of contact for our guests, addressing inquiries, answering questions, and assisting with reservation modifications and cancellations
- Allocate rooms based on guest preferences, availability and business demands, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay
- Safely and securely handle payment transactions, verifying billing details for accuracy
- Suggest room upgrades, offer special amenities, and fulfil specific guest requests to elevate their stay
- Display proficiency in accurately handling reservations and managing guest accounts
- Promote hotel amenities and services by having a deep understanding of products and offerings
- Maintain meticulous reservation records to monitor room availability and ensure smooth check-ins and check-outs
- Confident in communicating with guests and colleagues to ensure cohesive collaboration
- Assist in resolving guest complaints or issues related to reservations, billing, or room assignments

Skills and Experience
- Customer service-oriented with exceptional communication skills
- Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry is preferred
- Proficiency in using reservation and property management systems is a plus
- Problem-solving skills
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
- Innovative approach to exceeding customer service expectations
- Knowledge of group bookings and accounts is highly regarded, however not required
- Skilled at collaborating within teams, as well as working independently
- Proven ability to multi task and thrive under pressure, supported by strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in both written and verbal communication
- Previous experience in hotel front desk operations is a valuable asset
- Capable of embracing a Monday - Friday schedule
