**About the Organisation**

The Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (VAHS) was established in 1973 to address the specific medical needs of
Victorian Aboriginal communities. 2023 marks as a landmark year as VAHS proudly celebrate it’s 50-year of
providing a comprehensive range of medical, dental, allied health, and social services for our community.

As well as providing a variety of medical services, VAHS is committed to supporting the well-being of the
community through contributions to community events and activities. VAHS is also committed to assisting
research into the ongoing needs of the community.

**About the Opportunity
The position is primarily responsible for providing security presence at the Victorian Health Services always
ensuring the safety of staff and clients.

**Key Selection Criteria**

To be considered for this role you must have the following.
- Understanding of and Commitment to the Aboriginal community.
- Physically fit and able to walk and stand for prolonged period.
- Proven ability to negotiate and resolve conflict situations with the ability to be courteous and

professional.
- Ability to communicate and deal with people at all levels.
- Experience in making prompt, reliable decisions within the bounds of allocated responsibilities.
- Must be reliable and have strong work ethics.
- Be able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Write reports in response to incidents.
- Fully approved Covid 19 Vaccinations (including booster)

Qualification and Licenses:

- Valid Security License in accordance with the Security Industry Act and Regulations of Victoria
