**What we do?**
The NDIS Commission is the national regulatory authority responsible for upholding the rights of
people with disability accessing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). We make sure
the supports and services participants use to live the life they want, are safe and offered to the
highest possible quality.

The NDIS Commission regulates NDIS providers and monitors compliance with the
NDIS Code of Conduct and NDIS Practice Standards by assessing incidents that occur in the
provision of NDIS services, conducting investigations and undertaking compliance and
enforcement actions.

The NDIS Commission collaborates with state and territory governments, the National Disability
Insurance Agency and other Commonwealth regulatory bodies, such as the Australian
Competition and Consumer Commission, to share information and improve the quality and safety
of NDIS services.

**The Opportunity**
The NDIS Commission’s Regulatory Operations Division is seeking highly motivated and talented
problem solvers to contribute to compliance activities that impact the regulatory actions of the
NDIS Commission. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute to regulatory actions
that will ultimately have a positive impact on the lives of NDIS participants across Australia. You
will be part of a dynamic and supportive team that develops and implements cutting-edge
problem-solving methodologies to tackle complex challenges within a regulation space. Successful

**The Regulatory Operations Division**
The Regulatory Operations Division oversees regulatory and compliance operations, including
incident response, compliance monitoring and investigations. It is responsible for the approval of
providers, suitability assessments and manages the national Worker Screening database. It uses a
range of compliance and enforcement tools to support quality services and safeguarding of
participants. It manages key stakeholder interactions with other regulators, enforcement and
government agencies. It contributes to the development of regulatory practice and policy,
strategic initiatives, and regulatory campaigns.

**Compliance and Enforcement Branch**
The Compliance and Enforcement Branch is responsible for delivery of compliance monitoring and

enforcement of providers and workers in the NDIS. It applies a risk-responsive approach to its

regulatory activities using proactive and reactive leavers to ensure compliance, quality providers

and workers and safeguarding of participants. It is responsible for leading investigations and

taking appropriate and proportionate action in response to non-compliance. It has a key role

developing relationships with other regulators and enforcement agencies to ensure integrity and

quality of the NDIS.

**Complex Regulatory Response**
There is an exciting opportunity for a person experienced in leading investigations teams. The
current vacancy is within the Complex Regulatory Response team. This Team deals with
protracted matters that are serious, complex and sensitive in nature. These matters include
complex investigations into serious allegations of non-compliance impacting the safety and
quality of services and the integrity of the NDIS. Matters may involve systemic issues that either
affect a provider across multiple locations or across the providers’ multiple jurisdictions. It may
