NonStop Operations Specialist

This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

The Operations Specialist role works with customers to understand & resolve questions & issues. They understand principles & concepts of the overall system architecture & will have the ability to understand & support several products in a functional area of technology involving usage, configuration & interaction with other products.

**Your Key Responsibilities**:

- Successfully resolve technical issues for NonStop &/or Big Data software from incoming internal or external businesses & end user's contacts & proactive notification systems
- Respond to service, product, technical & customer
- relations questions
- Work independently on common & complex system problems where data analysis requires in-depth knowledge of multiple products/factors & occasionally seeks technical guidance by more senior technicians in call processing/problem resolution
- Proactively assist internal or external businesses & end users to avoid or reduce problem occurrence
- Review & may resolve complex business issues
- Add case resolution to KMS
- Understand & utilise ITIL
- Represent the company in a face-to-face customer location visit, industry conference/trade show, vendor meeting, etc.
- Partner with the Sales Pursuit team

**About You**:

- 5 years + working knowledge on NonStop
- Big Data software such as Hadoop highly regarded
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Experience troubleshooting in a technical environment
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
- Proficient in system support best practices & exercise independent judgment (within generally defined processes) to determine best methods for solving technical problems
- Advanced proficiency with case management databases & tools
- Superior customer service skills
- Phone & remote support experience
- Ability to solve & document solutions for usage of other technicians & customers
- Ability to lead resolution activities with escalated customers
- Ability to contribute to technical action plans

You will be willing to embrace changes in technology & demonstrate the ability to work outside your comfort zone in gaining skills on all components in the solution stack.
