This award-winning project management consultancy are experts in managing detailed medium and large sized construction projects that take place in challenging live and public environments specialising in local government, education, aged care, social housing, sport & recreation, and significant public transport infrastructure sectors.

They help clients to define their objectives, develop the project brief, and support the entire project lifecycle from inception, feasibility & business case development, to design, procurement, construction & project delivery in a collaborative approach.

**The Role**

We are looking for an experienced Client-Sided Superintendent to assist our project team with an upcoming Aged-Care project in regional Victoria, (about 60 mins north of Melbourne) - May 2024

We believe this will be a two-day per week engagement for two years, and ideally looking for someone that may be looking to top up their work week.

You will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of an aged care construction project from conception to completion and proactive in leading, organising and reviewing operational controls of a workforce to mitigate risk and ensure high productivity standards.

**Experience Required**
- You have significant experience managing health or aged care construction packages with a strong focus on contract management and Superintendency.
- Intimately familiar with project controls including the areas of cost, risk, programme, quality management and contractual/commercial management across a range of procurement, delivery models and frameworks.
- Management of the variations and complete defects’ liability period, ensuring proper compliance and execution of the contract by all relevant parties.
- Able to brief the client’s solicitor in terms of contract risks, variations negotiations, and pending delay claims.
- Assist in any final contract negotiations and scope inclusions between the client and contractor, reviewing in detail the offer and scope provided by the contractor.
- Review and provide input to contract annexures, the final lump sum costings, and delay requests.
- Ability to draft contract schedule of pricing.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including relationship management of both public and private sector stakeholders, and exceptional negotiation skills.
- Skilled at-risk management and actively identify, analyse, and mitigate any risks that may impact on project objectives and communicate and escalate significant risks to the appropriate manager(s).
- Attend meetings as required to facilitate the broader project objectives and achieve project success.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Tertiary Qualifications in Project Management / Construction / Relevant Engineering / Construction Law, or a related area is highly desirable.
- You will have 10 - 15 years demonstrated Superintendent skills, with a track record of success.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty, and ethics
- Ability to integrate and execute your extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to civil construction.
- Working closely to engage with contractors and suppliers and all other varied stakeholders, you will build strong relationships to fulfill operational requirements with a long-term vision on positive project outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal skills to maintain a high level of communication with all stakeholders to ensure that everyone is up to date on project status.
