The Role x2


We have two exciting opportunities with both being based in the Head office in the Melbourne CBD requiring similar skill sets.

Construction Superintendent - working on multiple projects in Tasmania on a two day per week fortnightly FIFO. This exciting position will require your extensive knowledge of building contracts, mechanical HVAC, and construction processes.

Civil Superintendent - requiring travel in and around the suburbs of Melbourne to supervise and manage water related construction projects with a high level of capability and confidence, insuring what was designed was delivered with an unbiased view.


We are looking for two Superintendents who are proactive in leading, organising and reviewing operational controls of a workforce to mitigate risk and ensure high productivity standards, if this resonates, then we are keen to hear from you.


You will bring industry knowledge and technical expertise as an experienced client representative overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the construction project with a particular focus on managing monthly MWC claims, variations, EOI's and other contractual disputes.

Experience Required

Project Management:

  • The superintendent ensures that the construction project delivered by the Main Works Contractor (MWC) is completed on time, within budget, and according to the client's specifications.
  • You will develop and implement project plans, coordinate activities between various contractors and subcontractors, and monitor progress to ensure program milestones are met.

Quality Control:

  • The superintendent will be responsible for ensuring MWC works meet the desired quality standards set by the client.
  • You will inspect the work regularly, identify any deficiencies, and work with contractors to rectify them.
  • Reviewing construction plans, conducting inspections, and overseeing testing and commissioning processes.

Contract Administration:

  • You will assist the client in managing the contractual aspects of the project by reviewing and negotiating contracts with MWC, their subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring that all parties adhere to the agreed terms and conditions.
  • The superintendent should act fairly and impartially and seeks to prevent disputes rather than settle disputes.
  • You may also handle change orders, claims, and other contractual matters that arise during construction.

Communication and Coordination:

  • The superintendent will facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all parties, ensuring that everyone is wellinformed about project progress, changes, risk profile, cost, schedule, EOT's, variations and any issues that arise.

Health and Safety:

  • You will promote and enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations on the construction site as well as working closely with MWC to identify and mitigate potential hazards, conduct safety inspections, and ensure that proper safety protocols are followed.

Problem - Solving:

  • Construction projects often encounter unexpected challenges or obstacles, as the clientside superintendent, you will play a crucial role in identifying problems, analysing their impact on the project, and proposing viable solutions.
  • You will work closely with contractors and project teams to address issues promptly and keep the project on track.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Project Management / Construction / Relevant Engineering or a related area is highly desirable.
  • You will have years demonstrated Superintendent skills, with a track record of success.
