Cabrini Cardiac Catheter Labs

Cabrini is home to 2 Cardiac Catheter Labs within Perioperative Services at Malvern. The labs are within a modern and spacious facility equipped with advanced technology and have renowned cardiologists performing both interventional and structural cardiology procedures. Cabrini’s Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory performs over 3000 procedures a year. More than 30 cardiologists representing diagnostic, interventional and electrophysiology cardiology, have regular sessions within the Laboratory. Elective services are offered Monday to Friday however a 24 hour on-call service is available to support the Emergency Department and the Intensive Care Unit.

The Role:
The Cardiac Technician / Cardiac Physiologist is responsible for providing a high-quality service in physiological monitoring and interpretation, during procedures and/or pacemaker testing within the guidelines and policies, and within the framework of the mission and Values of Cabrini Health.

Requirements of the role:
- Cardiac Technicians Certificate (Mayfield or its equivalent) or appropriate tertiary degree- Member of review at Professional Affiliates (CSANZ, ACTIV, ASE, ASA, ASUM)- Maintain effective communication channels with staff, ensuring that pertinent information is handed on- Participation in the provision of an efficient, effective, professional cardiac service, ensuring the delivery of high quality, compassionate, competent care- Ability to work well autonomously and as part of a broader team

About you-
- Have experience and competence in performing and interpreting ECG’s- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with quality and customer focus.- Well-developed communication skills.- Victorian Working with Children Check.
