**The role**:
We're looking for an experienced leader to join our Sewer Operations team as the new Manager Sewerage Network Operations. Reporting directly to the Group Manager Network Operations, this role will drive effective leadership, provide input into strategic planning decisions, and be accountable for project delivery, budgets, and effective communication ensuring the successful execution of planned projects and efficient response and resolution to emergency events.

This role is required to keep abreast of changes in legislation, regulatory requirements, and technological innovation whilst ensuring compliance with regulations and health and safety protocols, and will act in a lead role in an incident management team for large scale incidents, including participation as a functional lead, Emergency Management Liaison Officer, or Agency Commander/Incident Controller when required.

As part of a team, central to this role are accountabilities for 24/7 safe operation of the sewerage network, leadership and mentoring of engineering and technical staff, as well as managing their development and training. This role requires active participation in a rostered after-hours duty team, responding to emergencies and providing incident support as needed, including forming and leading incident management teams when required.

**Who are you?**:
You're a qualified Engineer (Civil, Environmental or related), with 10+years of experience in leadership, sewerage system planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance. Experience in the use of systems used for asset operations including SCADA, works management systems and asset registers is important in this role, as is knowledge of OH&S and Environmental regulations. It is a requirement of this role that you are registered (or working towards) as a Professional Engineer in Victoria - CPEng preferred.

You're a people person, with excellent team building, stakeholder, and conflict management skills and experience in enhancing and driving positive culture. Strong conflict resolution abilities and a customer focused attitude are essential, are well developed communication skills with the ability to be clear and persuasive. Your future focused approach and innovative thinking, partnered with your advanced strategic and analytical skills allow you to provide solutions for challenges and growth.
