The Team
The position of Principal Advisor, Commercial Structuring forms a part of the Trade and Investment Group and Invest Victoria Branch.
Invest Victoria is the Victorian Government's key economic development agency which is responsible for: setting investment strategy for the State and guiding its implementation; attracting and leading foreign direct investment opportunities; leading investment opportunities of state significance; providing information, support and facilitation services for investors; leveraging additional economic development benefits and investment outcomes from a range of government activities.
The Role
As a Principal Advisor, Commercial Structuring, you provide direct support to the commercialisation process of the CarbonNet project. This role is responsible for establishing the CarbonNet special purpose vehicle which will lead the transition of the project to a new project delivery entity, in accordance with Victorian government and Commonwealth Government governance requirements.

- Lead and develop the commercialisation strategy to enable a transition to a new project delivery entity ensuring the project complies to State, Commonwealth and project governance requirements and manage external advisors providing commercial advisory services.
- Lead the identification and evaluation of commercial work streams to ensure efficient financing and infrastructure options for recommendations within the delivery business case.
- Provides authoritative and strategic advice to CarbonNet project team members on commercial issues and outcomes in a sensitive, time pressured and complex environment with changing and competing priorities.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in developing and delivering expert advice on complex infrastructure projects to the private sector and/or government, and an ability to form strong and effective relationships with government stakeholders and industry partners in relation to the commercialisation of the project. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, strategic planning abilities and high level conceptual and analytical skills are essential.
