**About Racing SA**

Thoroughbred racing is the second most attended sport in South Australia with race meetings being enjoyed by thousands of people every year, including the Adelaide Cup at Morphettville Racecourse.

Whilst it is the Principal Racing Authority regulating thoroughbred horse racing right across South Australia, Racing SA also represents, promotes, and supports the state's thoroughbred racing industry through various initiatives including its own thoroughbred welfare programme, Thorough Care SA and Apprentice Academy which educates South Australia’s young apprentice jockeys. Racing Careers SA, is an additional arm of Racing SA where it promotes careers in the thoroughbred racing industry through job placement, mentoring, education, and courses.

**About the role**

As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make the position your own Your sharp thinking, and digital content driven mind will have you reading the play, knowing when less is more, or being the first to share the victory of the Adelaide Cup winner with the social media world. Your measured success will be rewarded as you build and maintain rapport with Racing SA’s social media followers.

This very exciting position reports directly to the General Manager - Communications, Media and Content. Your leadership skills will play a pivotal role in proactively leading and coordinating digital and social communications for the organisation.

Various projects will be an additional focus on your ‘to do list’. With the redevelopment of Racing SA’s website currently underway you will enjoy playing a key role in seeing this through.

**Duties**
- Create and execute the digital marketing plan
- Maintain and update content on the website and digital platforms
- Create and manage strategies for mailing lists
- Deliver reports on social media and digital performance
- Stay on top of the latest digital marketing trends and technologies

**Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or equivalent
- Website design experience
- Experience with developing and maintaining a digital marketing plan
- Proficiency with Google Analytics, Hubspot, Meltwater or similar
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
